ready for halloween

This year, Rachel wants to wear her costume.
Cette annee elle va mettre son costume. Elle la mis plusieurs fois et on a pu deja prendre qq photos.
Natalie sera en potiron.

Last night Rachel played with ... papa's shoes. She had a great time with his dressy shoes, casual shoes and scandals in which she placed her little toys and pieces of leggo. She played like that for more than 1hour. It was adorable to watch her.

This morning I woke her up and we played "peakaboo" for 5 min. I dressed her while she was still in her bed and it made things much easier.
Normally Yossi takes care of this and drops both of them off at the daycare. But it was nice to do it today, even if it meant arriving later at work and loosing 1hour of my flextime.

You are both so sweet and I enjoy these mornings tremendously.

Tomorrow morning we might go back to the farmer's market to buy apples and pears. It is a lovely walk.

being a good mom

Natalie developed a mild case of eczema at the back of her knees a few months ago (or is it a few weeks ago). I applied cream, went to the doctor, gave up dairy products, applied cortisone, went to the dermatologist who reassured me that there was nothing else I could do, applied another cream without steroids and some more cream, let her crawl without pants, and really hope that it will go away....
I don't want her to suffer from that as a child and the dermatologist said that it should go away by the time she is 3 (!!!) . I find that the doctors do not have answers to that really. I even wonder if I am doing the right thing by keeping nursing her....

As an infant she got acne and this went away as they said it would but I put myself through that prison diet as Pat recommended it. I trusted Pat more than I trusted the dermatologist who said that it was not diet related.

Today Octo. 7, I found "soy" cheese and even a "soy" cream cheese - hourra!

too friendly

At the park yesterday, Rachel insisted that a father - who was there with his 2 kids- put her in the swing and push her - "not you maman, him!". Thanks god he was very happy to oblige. She wanted afterwards to kiss him on hte cheeks to say goodbye and he got 2 kisses, he was very touched by this.

At the pool yesterday afternoon, she was very keen to go to an older lady who had reached for her.

Friday night, she spent the whole evening on my girlfriend's knees -to her delight- and wanted her to put her to bed, which we both did.

She is creeping

Natalie is creeping and only goes backwards so far. Yesteday she made an attempt to go forward to grab something and she got it!
Elle rampe sur son ventre et n'a pas encore trouve la marche avant.

She does not talk maman

A few days ago, I told Rachel "Natalie said thank you to you". Rachel answered "She does not talk maman, she is a baby". She has 2 teeth only.
