Where does that come from?

At school, Rachel learned about the expression "where does that come from"
Where does milk come from --from cows
Where do eggs come from --from hens
When she was asked where French fries do come from, she simply replied from France, which is quite logical to me.

Rachel loves her new school and is very happy there.
She missed 2 days last week since she has developed a bad cough which will be over soon hopefully.
Where did that one come from, I wish I knew...

evening swimming classes

At the end of June Rachel started her 30 min evening swimming session, 4 days a week for 2 weeks. She loved it.
After her first class I decided to enroll her for a 2nd session.
After a month of rushing and trying to leave work on time, to stop at home to get the dog out, to prepare sandwiches, to pick them up at school and then to rush to be at the pool for the 6pm lesson, I thought I was ready to quit.
But now that she has finished the 2nd session, I regretted not having enrolled her for a 3rd one and when I tried the class was already full.
The teacher however convinced the director to add a 4th student to the class as Rachel was so motivated.
Rachel was thrilled when I told her yesterday that she had been accepted.
Ms. Moira is wonderful.

After the class yesterday evening she discovered that it is fun to throw things, let them sink and go for them. She was so proud of herself and so was I!

that's why I am sad

Sometimes at the end of a long day, they do cry...
After drying her tears, Natalie would tell me
N: I cry because I miss papy Christian so much (my dad)
To my surprise Rachel told her
R: When we are in Belgium we will not be able to see him but we can go to the place where he is and talk to him. Maman we can go to the place where we went once and where papy is now in a box
How did she remember that?
Then she added
R: And it is ok to cry. When maman cried, I was there to dry her tears with my finger.
She had a big grim on her face.
