I am planning a visit to Belgium at the end of this month/early next month.
Papy Christian (my dad) is not doing well and his treatment for his leukemia and lymph disease is very tiring on this wonderful strong dad (a "py" comme un building").
I am close to my sister and my mom and of course it helps but being far away is not easy.
I trust that seeing and spending time with Rachel (Natalie?) will bring some happiness in these difficult moments. My dad lost a lot of weight and is very frail. Of course on the phone during our weekly conversations, it is very hard to realize how weak he is and how much lust for life he has lost. I know that the moments we will spend together will help us to face the future.

So so sorry to hear about your dad's health Laurence. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. I'm sure your visit will bring him a lot of comfort.
I'm so glad you are able to go over there and take at least Rachel, although I wish it were for happier circumstances. Rachel is sure to lift his spirits. All the best and I'll be thinking of you.
